Paulding County students are privy to many wonderful, enriching programs. One example is "Kids Voting," in which students hold a mock election to coincide with national elections. This program was the class project for Leadership Paulding 12. Another program, the Youth Council, invites students to brainstorm ideas for bettering their schools and communities, and to tackle problems with a head-on enthusiam that adults sit back and admire.
The Paulding County Sheriff's department is active in the DARE program in the schools, which educates students on the dangers of drugs and violence while encouraging a positive healthy lifestyle.
The Youth Apprentice program gives students a head start into their career of interest by allowing them to work and serve internships in major local companies, including Wellstar hospital, and the Paulding County Chamber of Commerce. |
